Blast Targets University Bus in Parwan; 4 Killed

[ToloNews] Four people were killed in a kaboom that targeted a bus carrying lecturers and employees of Alberoni University in Bagram district of Parwan on Saturday afternoon, a health official said.

Qasim Sangin, chief medical officer at Parwan Hospital, said 17 others were maimed in the earth-shattering kaboom.

The blast happened in Rabat area in Bagram district at around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, according to Bagram police.

Noor Ahmad Ahmadi, a lecturer of Education Faculty at the university, and Maiwand Farooq, a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at the university, were among those killed in the earth-shattering kaboom.

Sangin said three of the maimed are at death's door.

One of those maimed in the incident said the bomb was placed on the vehicle and exploded when they were on the way to Kabul.

No group has grabbed credit for the blast.

Most of those affected are lecturers from Alberoni University in Parwan province.
