The Washington, D.C.-based Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) has raised alarms about Iran’s nuclear program, labeling it as "extremely dangerous." The institute warns that Iran’s activities could swiftly transition to military applications at any moment.

The report emphasizes Iran’s lack of transparent cooperation with the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), particularly concerning the production of thousands of advanced centrifuges beyond IAEA oversight. This secrecy fuels suspicions about Iran’s intentions and capabilities.
Reflecting this heightened concern, ISIS has increased Iran’s nuclear threat rating from 151 to 157 out of a possible 180 points, indicating a state of "severe danger." This marks the second consecutive time the threat level has reached this elevated status.
The report uses the metaphor of a Geiger counter, a device measuring radioactive decay, to symbolize the escalating nuclear threat. Just as a Geiger counter’s alarm intensifies with increased radiation, the report suggests that the international community should respond with growing alarm to Iran’s nuclear developments.
