...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth . Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...

The missile launch came a day after Houthi rebel media in Yemen accused the US of attacking the airport in the rebel-held port city of Hodeida, the latest such claim since Washington announced heavy strikes against the Iran-backed group a week ago.
Al-Masirah TV, blaming "American aggression," said three attacks had targeted the airport in Hodeida on the Red Sea coast.
Between Wednesday and Friday, the Iran-backed rebels’ television channel made similar accusations, after United States Central Command on Wednesday confirmed "continuous operations" against the Houthis and US President Donald Trump

The strikes, the first since Trump resumed office, came after the group threatened to renew attacks on Israeli shipping.
They have since renewed their attacks on Israel and have launched several ballistic missiles since the IDF resumed fighting in the Gaza Strip earlier this week. The missiles have all been intercepted by Israeli air defenses or fallen short of reaching Israel, but have nevertheless sent much of the country scrambling to shelter.
On Saturday, a ballistic missile launched from Yemen, apparently aimed at Israel, was said by a defense source to have fallen short in Saudi Arabia.
*Snicker* The missile was identified by the military, but sirens were not activated in Israel due to it not posing a threat. It was not immediately clear why the missile had failed to reach Israel or if it was even aimed at Israel.
