[SAHARAREPORTERS] The Jama'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da'wah wa'l-Jihad (JAS) faction of Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
has reportedly killed an unspecified number of Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters in a series of recent attacks in Northern Nigeria, as the two terrorist groups escalate their festivities.

According to Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counterinsurgency expert in the Lake Chad area, the festivities occurred in the Shuwari, Kwantan Kawule, and Toumbun Rogo areas in the Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.

The report said that JAS fighters, particularly from the Buduma group, inflicted severe casualties on ISWAP forces, although the exact number of casualties was not confirmed.

According to the report, during the attacks, "JAS fighters seized eight water vessels carrying several ISWAP fighters, further consolidating their advantage".

On Saturday, a fierce shootout broke out between Buduma fighters and ISWAP gunnies in Shuwari, Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, Northern Nigeria, as reported by Makama.

The intense clash involved heavy gunfire from both sides, but information on casualties is limited.

This incident is the latest in a series of reported skirmishes between ISWAP fighters and their rival Boko Haram faction, allegedly driven by a struggle for dominance and territorial control.
