"Suddenly the rooms were just empty. The tourists from Israel were our business. Fewer Orthodox Jews are also coming to Germany from other countries," says Jewish-Israeli restaurateur Chaimi Fröhlich (49), who ran "Bleibergs" for seven years. "Germany is no longer a safe place for Jewish people."
Some Berliners have also been afraid to visit an Israeli restaurant since October 7th. In addition, there were anti-Semitic messages that the "Bleibergs" received via social networks.
