Blinken calls on Iraqi PM to protect US personnel in Iraq
|
[Jpost] US Secretary of State Antony Blinken urged Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to protect installations hosting American personnel, the State Department said on Friday.
Blinken spoke with al-Sudani after a series of attacks on US forces in Iraq that US officials have blamed on Iran-aligned groups.
I wonder if Blinken knows that "shmuck" means?
| Probably. I’ve read that he grew up in an American Reform Jewish congregation, so he probably knows considerably more Yiddish idioms than Hebrew. He probably can dance to Hava Nagila... but only fake the words. |
