#1 I expected this. They have portable handheld eauipment that can neutralize drones now. Biggest impact is western communications with Ukrainian logistics. Going blind. Our troops on the ground there will be impaired as well. Then for the west the war must go on. Those who talk of peace media blitzed. EU will suffer more from this derangement syndrome as Biden hides in his basement.

#4 I wouldn't want to be in one of these units in a Peer vs. Peer conflict. They necessarily have to emit a constant electromagnetic signature that would be trivial to locate and launch a missile at.
TL/DR: Be effective and be a target.

#5 Starlink did not go out above Ukraine. This article is 2 years old and discusses Russian jamming capabilities. Starlink was not even active over Ukraine at that time.

It was resolved that the recent failure of Starlink during the recent Kherson offensive was due to the speed of the advance, the Ukrainians were overrunning Russians controlled areas where Starlink was disabled so the Russians could not make use of it.

Also the Russians have been trying to jam Starlink for months without success.

#7 This is a constant battle between Musk and Russia.I would suggest much of our information available to us is filtered thru filtered classified actions. I would suggest a healthy avoidance of speculations. Russian media sings a different tune.'On the other hand, while Elon Musk’s business acknowledges that the Starlink satellite Internet has been disrupted, they offer no answers for why this has happened". So the race is on. Disrupted perhaps to prevent Russia using the system.
