Saleh wrote on his Facebook page Sunday, that the National Security Council office will explain "how to use this tool" through video conferencing to the security forces.

The first vice president did not explain whether the repelling device was purchased by the government to protect security forces or was designed internally.

Recent reports indicate, that the Taliban are using night-vision thermal scopes on their snipers to target Afghan cops.

These scoping devices are capable of thermal weapon sight, night vision, laser markings, and can reportedly detect and hit a long-distance target.

Earlier, Faryab provincial governor, Naqibullah Fayeq said, that the Taliban had acquired reconnaissance drones to monitor the movements and checkpoints of security forces.
