#2 Intuit also has ProSeries (mid-level) and Lacerte (top shelf) tax prep. software. I use the latter; among us tax geeks it's either Lacerte or ProSystem FX.

#3 The old "boycott 'em all" shout is not so simple if some product is just too useful to walk away from. I've made a career out of supporting Microsoft products, so no matter how stupid Gates gets (people forget, he's retired now) or how PC (politically correct, not personal computer) Nadella talks, there are lots of people out there paying to keep their stuff running and scaling. And I'll take that money, thanks.
