Black Hebrew Israelite leader condemns ‘heinous’ Jersey City shooting

[IsraelTimes] Distancing himself from the attack, Rabbi Capers Funnye says his organization isn’t ’some radical fringe group with a false narrative... We are Torah-oriented Jews’.

The leader of a prominent Black Hebrew Israelite organization has condemned last week’s attack on a kosher grocery in New Jersey after media reports emerged that one of the shooters was once a follower of the movement.

This particular leader did, at any rate. But after he became a member of the Black Jewish movement, which is completely unconnected to the rest of Judaism, he undertook a second conversion to normative Conservative Judaism We haven’t heard anything from the rest, who think the murders are just peachy.
