#1 I think of this in comparison to the German invasion of the Soviet Union, with similar levels of destruction along a 2,000 mile wide front. Someone once figured that roughly 25,000 people died daily for six years during WWII, with the numbers being much higher the last four years. How long did it take the Soviets to rebuild after 25,000,000 dead?
