Turkey: Jets target 'separatist terrorists' in Sirnak

[AA.TR] Two Turkish F-16 fighter jets dropped bombs on at least three suspected "separatist terrorist organization" targets in the southeastern Sirnak province on Tuesday, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement.

That'd be within Turkey, not in Iraq or Syria, and therefore an internal affair which is none of your business, infidel.

Although the official statement does not specify the name of the group, it is believed that the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) was the target.

According to the statement, the jets struck two anti-aircraft gun positions and a mortar position in Dugun Mountain.

The Turkish General Staff said that the action was taken following an attack on Turkish gendarmerie forces by suspected PKK members in Sirnak's Uludere Karacali Tepe region.

Security forces were now carrying out damage assessment in the aftermath of the ~~Arclight~~ airstrikes, the statement added.

The PKK is listed as a terror organization by the U.S., the EU and ~~The Sick Man of Europe~~ Turkey

Turkey recently launched ~~Arclight~~ airstrikes against Daesh and the PKK in Syria and Iraq. On Friday night and in the early hours of Saturday, Turkish jets bombed PKK camps in northern Iraq for the first time in the last two-and-a-half years. Turkey also launched attacks against Daesh. Turkish jets again hit PKK targets inside and outside Turkey on Sunday night.
