Sectarian killings continue, another laid to rest

Police officials said that unidentified armed riders on Saturday night targeted the victim namely 42-year-old Syed Iftikhar Abbas Rizvi, son of Syed Iqbal Ahmed Rizvi, and later fled from the scene. The body of the victim was taken to hospital for an appointment with Dr. Quincy and later handed over to his heirs.
The funeral prayers of the victim were offered on Sunday at Khair-ul-Amal mosque in Ancholi society, and later he was buried at Shah Mehmood

The police have registered FIR No 232/13 against unidentified culprits on the complaint of victim's brother, Syed Kazim Abbas Rizvi. Meanwhile,

Bodies found: Two bodies of men were found from separate areas of Lyari, Gulistan Colony and Rangi Wara, within the precincts of Chakiwara

So far, police officials have identified only one victim as 35-year-old Ashfaq Ahmed, son of Ahmed Ali. The other victim is a teenager and appears to be only 15 years old, as per police sources.
According to SHO Sajjad Mangi, both the victims were associated with notorious gangster, Baba Ladla. He said that apparently culprits kidnapped both victims and tortured them, before dumping their bodies. The victims were also shot multiple times, the officer revealed.
Speaking about the motive behind the incident, the SHO said they were probably killed on suspicion of being informants of the opponent gang.
Their bodies were taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi for an appointment with Dr. Quincy.
