Terrorist attack thwarted in Znamenskoye
|
Police have averted a major terrorist act in Chechnyaâs Nadterechny district. The press-centre of the regional operational headquarters for control over the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus told Itar-Tass on Wednesday that police found and confiscated a self-made explosive device near the administrative building of the Selkhoznetkhnila enterprise in the Znamenskoye village on Tuesday. The explosive device was made of 2.5 kilogrammes of TNT, five rounds to grenade launcher, three electric detonators, 400 metres of wire and an alarm clock. The explosive device was found on tips received from local residents. Bandits planted it in the place where a considerable number of people have been gathering of late preparing for the spring sowing campaign. The explosive was turned over to the Nadterechny police precinct for investigation.
