And if little Beverly did see constant police patrols, her neighborhood would be "under siege" and "oppressed by police". The police don't come around much because they know without a shadow of a doubt that they're not welcome.

#5 Perspective, of course police aren't welcome.

If you are a crook, you want to rob people, you don't like police.

If you are a decent citizen, what do you think of police? If you tell them where the crooks are, your life is going to be short. If you buy a gun to defend yourself, you are now a crook, and risk getting shot by the police.

I don't have any solutions, but the problems are clear.

#6 It is high time the US pulled out of Chicago. Clearly it is our presence there that is generating more violence than it is preventing.

Having occupied Chicago since its founding in 1837, it is obvious that our results have come bear no fruit. We shouldn't be babysitting a civil war. Chicago needs to be split into three different regions; This Side, That Side, and The Other Side.

We are never going to get the corruption and violence under control so there is little point in trying. All National Guard forces currently in the Chicago area should be redeployed to Goshen.
