#2 It's always been my understanding that the purpose of sanctions is to put pressure on a country while stopping short of outright war. But that incident on May 20 sounds to me like an attempted naval blockade and IIUC, a naval blockade is an act of war.

I think NATO's Article 5 should be nullified if NATO members like Poland initiate hostilities without the consent of other members. IOW, hot headed fools like Tusk should not be allowed to drag the rest of us into WWIII.

I don't care if he calls it a sanctioned vessel or not. If he gets his nose bloodied attempting to enforce his dumb ass sanctions, he's on his own.
