The Saudis requested that he be extradited back to SA, but the German Govt refused stating that they were concerned for the future mass murderers safety... ALL of Taleb's witting accomplices in the German Government that resulted in this atrocity need to be charged as well.

#11 There are reports on X/Twitter that he is a member of Saudi Arabia's Shia minority which, they say, is obvious from his name.

Wikipedia states that Mohsen/Muhsin is a is a masculine Farsi given name, which tends to support that proposition.

This could be part of an intra-Islamic conflict that is escalating post 10/7 and Israel's unusually robust response.

The perpetrator of the deadly Christmas market massacre that has left at least five dead wrote that 'slaughtering German citizens indiscriminately' may be a 'path to justice' just months before the horrifying attack.

It has since emerged that just months before the horrific massacre, al-Abdulmohsen, a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy from the Saudi Arabian city of Hofuf, made a harrowing tweet about 'slaughtering German citizens indiscriminately'.

Al-Abdulmohsen described himself as a former Muslim and shared dozens of tweets and retweets daily focusing on anti-Islam themes, criticizing the religion and congratulating Muslims who left the faith.

He also accused German authorities of failing to do enough to combat what he said was the 'Islamism of Europe'.

The doctor also appeared in a 2019 interview with the BBC World Service, where he spoke about his work in helping asylum seekers to 'escape' from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.

He wrote on August 21: 'Is there a path to justice in Germany without bombing a German embassy or slaughtering German citizens indiscriminately? I have been looking for this peaceful way since January 2019 and I have not found it. If anyone knows it, please guide me.'

In videos posted hours before the attack, he claimed that German authorities were opening his mail and stealing items including a USB stick.

'I consider the Germans, as citizens, responsible for the persecution I am facing' he said in one video.

'Currently in this country, the nation that is actively criminally chasing Islam critics is the German nation', he said in another.

A search of his name and details of his work revealed he was interviewed by the Frankfurter Rundschau, a regional newspaper, in 2019

'He came to Germany as a visiting doctor during his specialist training as a psychotherapist and later applied for asylum here because he had been threatened with death for turning away from Islam. The 44-year-old is recognized as a political refugee', the newspaper wrote of him five years ago.

In the Frankfurter Rundschau interview, he described his work with the wearesaudis.net website, a group dedicated to providing information on 'escape routes' for people living in Saudi Arabia, particularly women.

His plight to help asylum seekers settle in Europe was also documented in a 2019 interview with the BBC World Service, in which it was revealed he was forced to leave his home country due to his atheism.

'If I have time, I spend, you know, totally helping Saudi asylum seekers between 10 to 16 hours a day, if I have time', he told the broadcaster at the time.

He also explained how most people who approached him for help through his website were Muslim women seeking to escape their strict families.

Just five days before carrying out the attack, Al-Abdulmohsen gave an interview with the right-wing RAIR Foundation in which he said: 'If a Syrian citizen applies for asylum in Germany, the chance to be granted asylum is 99.8%…

'While if a Saudi citizen applies for asylum in Germany, that chance is only 70%, and I know personally that many of those rejected are ex-Muslims.

'Germany is welcoming Syrians—including many Islamists—while simultaneously rejecting Saudi apostates, people who are genuinely fleeing Sharia-based death sentences.'

Since news of the attack spread around the world, RAIR said in a statement: 'If these reports are accurate, it appears we and other media outlets were misled regarding his true intentions. We are actively seeking more information and will provide updates as they become available.'

In 2013 he was sentenced by a German court for 'disturbing the public peace by threatening to commit crimes', according to Der Spiegel.

Three years later, he applied for asylum in Germany and his application was approved within four months.

The motive for the attack remains unclear but the suspect's dissatisfaction with Germany's treatment of Saudi refugees may have played a role, the prosecutor in Magdeburg told a press conference today.

Elsewhere, it has also been reported that the Saudi suspect, who is considered to hold 'Islamophobic' views, may have taken drugs before the attack, having given a positive drug wipe following his arrest.

The 50-year-old also made a series of harrowing social media posts months before Friday's attack, including one where he vowed 'revenge will come soon, even if it costs me my life'.

The initial death toll from the horrific attack on Friday evening had stood at two, but this has since risen to five.

Bild, another local news site, reported that 41 others were gravely injured, 86 people are receiving hospital treatment for serious injuries, while another 78 sustained minor injuries.

Police were not immediately available to comment on casualties. Local officials had initially said at least two people were killed and had warned that the toll could rise.

Police were seen removing five large cardboard boxes containing evidence from the suspect's flat yesterday afternoon.

The alleged killer was said to have lived on the ground floor of a smart apartment building in Bernburg some 30miles away from the scene.

Several forensic officers were seen working inside the property for much of the day before removing the items in an unmarked police van.

Local residents said the police had arrived at the address at around 10pm on Friday night just hours after the deadly attack.

The suspect was believed to have lived in the apartment, where his name appears on the mailbox and doorbell, for several years.

Other neighbours said they had not known the suspect who was said to have kept himself to himself and his blinds drawn most of the time.
