#2 Russia's been under pressure, calling back troops and drone operators to shore up the Ukraine fight.
When Israel smacked Hezbollah in Lebanon, Iran had to shift personel to support, or risk a domino fall.
Which sounds like a great time for their opposition in Syria to push, because the calvary is not gonna be riding out to save Assad. They got other things to do.
