#1 No mention is made that prior to the Italian occupation of Libya it was a Turkish satrapy. The expulsion of Turks was welcomed by the Libyans of Cyrenaica in the east and Tripolitania in the west.
Today the only region likely to welcome a Turkish return would be Tripolitania (basically Tripoli), whose leaders are easily bought.
