The earlier demo of highways and railroad crossings suggests Kim has found in Russia a sponsor for the prelude of an Israel/Gaza type assault.

For decades DPRK has practiced assaults from tunnels. The road and rail destruction is to impede ROK/US forces moving north. The split Obama/Biden/Harris Presidency may be the trigger to assume the US will withdraw or at least stand passive.

With a big enough backer, the world may whine but little else.

I dunno. Kim periodically acts out when he feels the world is not paying enough attention. Threatening apocalyptic war is a good gig both at home and abroad, but you can only actually play the card once. I see it as aggravated bluster, but if I am wrong, we will definitely notice.
