#1 Sorry, I wasn't there to see it, therefore I must remain a non-believer.

#2 Real QA would have the owner/manager wear it as the test subject.

#5 The problem remains, if you get pounded to hamburger inside the vest, but the vest remains intact, all it did was stop puncture wounds.
I knew a dude that took a burst from a AK while wearing a vest with a ballistic plate. 8 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and heart failure. Not to mention cuts from bullet fragments on arms and face. Succumbed to secondary pneumonia.
They got him, just not right away.

#6 if you get pounded to hamburger inside the vest...

All that kinetic energy has to go somewhere. Hey, what if vests had a feature like reactive armor? Little counter-explosions to defeat the incoming rounds.

#7 It's called flack vest because it's supposed to stop shrapnel, not bullets.

#8 Grom__a bit of pedantry here. It's "Flak" vest. A "flack" is a publicity agent... tho apparel to repel publicity agents would have significant appeal.

#11 How about some hydro-goop lining which squirts the force out through venting?
