#8 The Russians used to be experts at crossing rivers. Their skill has atrophied since WWII and the fall of the Soviet Union, but they still have damn good equipment. And in all honesty I would be suspect of the US's ability to ford a river under fire. It just isn't a skill that has been needed since 1990.

After lots of pontoon losses, the Russians will learn and then they will put them up faster then they can be destroyed. I think Ukraine missed the window to bag the units trapped behind the river. Been too long.
