#6 Most people don't understand that the bulk of oil field operations happen out in the butt-end of nowhere. It's literally nowhere. You got there by following surveyor tape tags (it'll be three red tapes on the right, and then again at the turn) and entire crews have got lost. GPS revolutionized it, so now you at least know where you're lost at.

#10 Hooligans used to steal auto batteries from lease pumping units. Pumpers installed battery extension cables through the grills of their trucks. Used the truck to start the pump engines.

Left dead batteries at the pump unit for the Hooligans :-) Security cams and CCTV used in many places today.

#14 I work in the oilfield and was on the rigs for years, I'm very well aware of what's not 'officially' in their trucks, I'm talking about official permission to have them. Hell I may or may not have had a 'coyote' gun in my vehicle while working in the Permian. The roughnecks will take care of business if you let them. Many are ex military.
