#2 If El Fasher is isolated (which means the road and the railroad supply lines to Khartoum are cut off) its time to get out of Dodge. City residents have had months of warning, but the Arab majority thought the government would save them. Immediate help from Russia (which wants a port on the Red Sea) will have to be overwhelming to save the day. But Putin (and his mercenaries) can read the tea leaves.
