#5 I'd rather have this officer resign and have his TS/SCI access pulled than have him stay on as a disgruntled solider who might get some crazy ideas.

#10 On the surface it seems like a proper course of action. However, given a deeper look, at what limited information is available, perhaps this was as much about dead-end as moral outrage? From his picture and the limited information about him from the link below, he seems to have had a rather mundane career. Commissioned as an Infantry Officer, but currently assigned as a Foreign Area Officer at DIA, he has been deployed to Tunisia, Bahrain, South Korea and Kuwait. Interestingly, since his commissioning in 2011, his picture shows the Expert Infantry Badge, a single Army Commendation Medal, and an Army Achievement Medal with two Oak leaf Clusters. In my opinion, after his 13 years of commissioned service, this does not suggest significant achievement or a good path going forward.
