#4 The 'Pause' or cease fire is supposed to be contingent on a specific number of detainees being released each day. Stop the releases, the shooting starts back up.
Supposedly the hostages have been identified by name, sorted into groups, and each are assigned a slot and day.
You'd expect the ones that are 'iffy' for whatever reason (injured, etc) to be held to the end, because if they can't / aren't released on schedule, them the deal blows up. But the deal blows up in 4 days anyway.
