Russia, started moving forces out of Kharkiv 8 days ago. Yes, before the offensive. Ukraine didn’t get success, they took mostly deserted outposts with roughly the same quantity of forces deployed in the south, that was defeated easily.
Why would Russia hand Ukraine a victory? Because they had to. The largest attack is yet to come, and it is aimed at Mariupol. Ukraine won’t push past the river in the north, and if they try they’ll be decimated.
Attacks on energy are to depower the train lines from Kharkiv, so all those forces and equipment can’t be transferred quickly to the Mariupol front. We know this is definitely happening due to large concentrations of forces, and Ukraine starting a demining process. Russia is now systematically destroying train loads of tanks trapped on depowered trains.
The grand battle will happen in the next 48 hours.
Since the counter offensive few day ago began, Ukraine has over 35,000 casualties, with half of those deaths. Most of the injured will die, or never return to battle. All most all casualties are the results of airstrikes or artillery.

#2 ACA Joe. I have seen no report anywhere on the net of 35K Ukrainian military causalities even for the whole war. For Ukrainian citizens murdered by the Russian troops that might be the lower end count for the past 2 weeks.

#3 Information changes by the hour. Ukrainian theater supported by western media is mass psyops on a scale as bad as the Biden media activities. As I recall a couple of days ago Russian military had a meeting that I believe the last day or two are the result. Ukrainians are over extended and most well trained troops have been used up mostly in their advance. Russians have been kept back from the festivities and were using Local militias to do the direct work. Mass graves are a Ukrainian method and they do deliberately fake information implicating Russians. Air and artillery are the main activity of Russians at a distance. Russia has held back. They didn't want a full scale war but rather a slow long protracted wearing down of Ukrainian military and equipment sent in. I say the media celebrations are too early. This is just the beginning. With winter coming the Russians will continue knowing Ukrainian winter outfits and supplies are a small fraction of what they need. Then the west will continue to dump money and resources to be be squandered.

#4 Russia has held back

Big mistake. Vlad was never a warfighter. He's a law grad who was good at exploiting the structural weaknesses of other societies, and trained in one rather narrow aspect of influence projection. Espionage. And that too by the KGB. He should have known he was going up against all NATO with their MICs.

Frankly, I don't know why I expected a swift victory. It's obvious now his nuke bluff was just that. And that ever present fear of being satanized forever. It's in everyone now. Makes mice out of men.

Let's wait for winter. If I were a betting man I'd bet on the globalists though.

Russia never wanted Ukraine. This was only about using Donetsk and Luhansk and keeping the EU and NATO from expanding eastward. Russia felt confident that nobody had the time or resources to spend on this shit. It was wrong. Apparently, the expansion of the EU and its primary muscle was so important to someone that... well, here we are. I look for the patterns behind the righteous talk of liberty and shit. I don't sit and weep for 'oh the heroism!' at face value. Vlad misread and underestimated the liberal world order cabal. He didn't think they'd cannibalize their own armouries, that they'd send their veterans, their SFs in to defend their stooge. That they'd be willing to hurt their own economies and those of others over it.

Now, the Russians are up against the wall if the global cabal presses on or tries rubbing it in. And the result will be interesting. Well, it will change the world some more, better or worse.
