#1 Nothing more on the Khaama Press and Tolo News sites, though perhaps they’re still translating their reports into English. The Afghan Digest reports just

A car bomb was reported in Police District 7 in Kabul. 4 civilians were reportedly injured in the blast, and the target of the attack was not clear. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

I have no idea if Darulaman is the same as PD7. — perhaps someone here remembers Kabul’s geography well enough to say.

The only other interesting item in the Afghan Digest’s Daily Brief is this:

Presumably in response to the 1-year anniversary of Taliban rule, fighting broke out across the North as Resistance forces attempted to remind the world that an active resistance exists. Panjshir witnessed the bulk of the fighting, and most incidents appear to have been offensive actions taken by the NRF against Taliban positions. At the end of the day, the NRF announced it had liberated seven villages from Taliban control and were continuing their advances toward larger Taliban bases. A source allied with the Resistance said the actions represent the opening of a campaign to liberate Panjshir but was skeptical that the offensive could be maintained for long. The force ratio in Panjshir was last estimated to stand at 23:1 in favor of the Taliban, and the NRF is hampered by a lack of light/heavy transport.

#2 Darulaman is PD6. Everything west of the main highway is PD6, and east of it is 7. Darulaman is practically on the highway so either it was a car bomb or an IED placed on the highway maybe?

#3 West Kabul is where the Shiites live, which might make the Darulaman bomb another ISIS-K attack.

But PD7 must be a different attack.

Damn the Taliban for censoring the news media, making our data collection a much chancier affair!

...Sorry. That’s facile when so many are really suffering under their rule. Ditto for the same complaint about the governments of Europe and England.

#4 Looks like four Taliban died as their vehicle hit a landmine, TW. The highway is not well paved and has many potholes. It would be easy to place a mine and cover it with gravel I suppose. The Taliban were local law enforcers.
