#4 We all know Pork Patty was the MRE to rule them all. No other MRE was so venerated that the receivers would happily bribe others to enjoy it's mighty blessing.

Sadly my Pork Patty MREs were always secretly replaced by ham slice or diced turkey with gravy (breakfast of champions) during my years in ROTC.

#6 Wasn't available when I was in. Just avoid the Chicken-a-la-puke and the Corned beef trash MREs. They were disgusting. Not as bad as the Frankfurters though.

#8 Ah, Pork Patty. A Marine told me that in Desert Storm they threw a 'mystery meat patty' to a starving Saudi dog and it proceeded to bury it. Religious sentiment, obviously.
