#1 I hear that some companies based in Texas are allowing their work-from-home employees to move out of state.

So, their termination comes by email. Who do they file their unemployment claim with? The state from which they were employed or the state they reside? Going to be a game of tag in the first place and "we have no record" in the second.

....I just asked our HR about this - there is no specific guidance yet, but on first pass it's the state that the unemployment tax goes to.

#5 A lot of tree huggers in California, including Governor Dippity Doo Newsom, will undoubtedly be happy to see Chevron leave.

#6 You don't find a huge amount of tree-bugging types in the oilfield. Not sure why, maybe the whole icky oil thing. Some of the recent 'geology' types can be wackjobs...knew some planning to vote for Bernie, despite the fact he said he was going to kill offshore. As for roughnecks...pretty sure I've NEVER seen a roughneck that was a liberal. Heck, they used to pester me for Halliburton swag to try and pick fights with greenies in Colorado.

#8 selling the excess real estate could be a $50M+ bump in revenues if they own it

if they are leasing it abandoning it probably means about $5M less in annual rent costs
