#1 When shipper can't afford to ship, those empty shelves you see are just a figment of your imagination. Welcome to the third world brought to you by Soviet Central Planning (aka Deep State Regulations).

#2

Clearly, the WaPo columnist is not on a FIXED INCOME. Ask her to donate 9% to 15% of her salary each month to see how it feels.

#3 'Uncomfortable'? Uncomfortable isn't the problem. Unnecessary is the issue with some 4 centuries of oil and gas reserves under our feet. Of course that's given current and projected usage and current extraction technology.

Everything you eat, wear, touch, hold or utilize with your hands is delivered because of diesel.

#4 They say in eight months diesel is gone. Not available. Supply chain issues. Additives not available.

#5 Yeah, DEF will indeed be a big problem Dale. It has increased exponentially more than diesel itself as it is becoming harder to supply.

And the diesel vehicles we make here in the states for export usually don't have the DEF requirements (or 'limp switch').

#6 In 2016 we were told the World had 1,650,585,140,000 (1.650T) Barrels of Oil in reserves. Or, about 47 years according to several sources.

However, new oil deposit discoveries have increased that amount several years more since 2016.

Of course, the US Oil Production vs. Consumption means about 39.79% of our oil is imported.

OH! But in case you missed it, the US still EXPORTS 4% of its produced oil.

NOTE: STRANGE tho, the EIA Shale Oil data tells us we lost 35% of Shale Reserves in 1 year?????

#9 "Its your fault I was wrong now leave me alone about it!" is not attractive.

It is now, also, not an option.
