#5 This should be an easy fix for even the GOPe: No gummint installation, federal, state or local will fly any other than the USA flag, the appropriate state and county flags.

I got no problem with my Norwegian neighbor flying a Norwegian flag. Underneath the Stars and Stripes.

No reason for the Pentagon or any other federal, state or local facility to do so. Ever.

#6 They're serious. Every leading Ukrainian politician and military spokesman has confirmed all the reports from the Donbas that Ukraine is in "dire distress and extreme danger."

It's almost over now. Mariupol was the big defeat; now all the dominoes are falling in the East.

The local governor said the situation is desperate and that Russia controls 95% of Luhansk. The Ukrainian foreign minister said the situation is dire. Zelensky himself is preparing the nation for defeat.

There's no more talk of "victory," no more boasting, no talk of "war crimes." Just dire pessimism / realism all around.
