#5 Truth be told, Skid just links to the DM for the T&A in the sidebars. We can't help it. It's how we roll.

As for the articles and their tone, they give you a sense of what the buzz is over in that part of the world, the official Message of the Day which is always useful, and sometimes they cover events that never show up in the media here for some reason.
tl;dr: the DM is useful if you are smart enough to see thru it and don't go all monkey-brain.
