#1 Not a new thing: Back in the 80's we had a contract with "The Flying Nurses" to bring Filipina nurses in because of severe nursing shortages.

#2 Have seen it 1st hand here in GA.

I hate say this, but they are desperately needed.
The Local area US Nurses burned out from months/years of overwork and trying to handle 2x++ the normal patient load with limited supplies.

GREAT Staff, polite, conversational and extremely good with English and Spanish. The furthest VISA traveling nurse I had was from Pakistan. Along with Brazil, Panama, England and several others.

A few acknowledged despite given the Room & Board issues they are making 3x to 5+x what they would back hone.

#5 Anything to save money. Liberal use of reciprocity. They have been stealing people for years from poor nations. I bet they never realized what our liberal cities are like.I believe that 1000 is rounded up. They must a strong slaver network.
