#1 Chinese schools are a dumpster fire, with children being assigned piles of meaningless homework every day, and being taught to regurgitate facts on demand rather than learning. Don't compare anyone to them.

#4 The Chinese get all their education from paid tutors, beginning as soon as the kids can read. Chinese and Korean (also Russian) immigrants to this country continue the tradition here: they know our schools suck and are unwilling to let their kids fall 2+ years behind their cousins in the home country.

Given the collapse of American education, remote-education tutors and homeschooling will be the only viable path for American high-achieving kids of any background. Which means the American public school system will collapse in about 15-20 years.
