#1 Doesn’t shutdown mean that all non-essential personnel stay home, but the essential ones have to keep working even though they aren’t being paid?

#4 Riddle me this: Which party has the majority? It has a majority in the House, and 50 seats AND the tie breaker in Senate, and it can pass most laws on a party line vote if they have the guts to actually take the blame.
