#5 A big problem with StarLink right now is their user stations (subscriber units) need too many Gallium Arsenide chips. I suspect that is one reason their active trial user count is around 60,000. This means in parts alone the subscriber units, that are sold for about $500, actually have closer to more than $2000 in chips in them. Can devices with GA chips even be sold to people in Cuba or Russia without violating some US law?

#8 Russia just want to ensure they have a working internet should the finicky American establishment and the Europeans decide to somehow deny it to them. As for free speech for dissenters and 'oh-the democracy!' globalist agents, they deserve none. Trust the EU media to dress even that up as a human rights violation. I'll bet they all laughed when DJT was blocked on twitter. Hypocrites.

But it is also something you might want to do if your country was under a persistent global Denial of Service attack.
