#6 Are they teachable and why should we do it?
I just pulled out Kenneth Pollack's Arabs At War and scanned the chapters on Iraq. The Iraq army can dig, their staffs can plan, but they have a history of being unable to adapt or improvise at the small-unit level. What, pray tell, would we be teaching them?

#10 Dron, in 2015 we had been teaching modern warfare to the Iraqis for twelve years. Nonetheless, when faced with the expansion of ISIS after the Obama pullout, the Iraqis without Americans there to stiffen their resolve were rolled up like a cheap rug.

It seems to me that one lesson of all the joint exercises is how suicidal it would be to go to war against a fully engaged America.
