its like Swiss cheese covered in sand.
Sink holes
subterranean streams and rivers
limestone as 'bedrock' - acid rain "eats it"

#6 When I lived in PeeAye, I had mine subsidence insurance. Here in Florida, I have sinkhole insurance. It would not occur to me to skimp on it.

Hurricane Andrew revealed large numbers of homes that failed to meet code roofing standards even though government inspectors signed off on them. Corruption all the way down.
