But keep in mind NYC is 32.52% bigger than MOSCOW in population.

#3 the big difference between NYC and Moscow re Covid is that infections and fatalities in the former have significantly decreased in the past few months whereas in Moscow (and probably elsewhere in Russia) new infections and fatalities are remaining relatively high

not only is the vaccinated share of the population higher in the US (by at least 3 times), the US vaccinations were done w Pfizer or Moderna and in Russia by Russian vaccines
