#3 Trying to keep somebody from disturbing my sleep I once did something that caused a unknowing fool mis-interpert what he experienced. {I had no idea he even existed let alone that my act drove him into brain fruitcake land.}

7 years later this person self identified as a UFO expert and researcher at a wedding reception. I quickly understood that this idiot was the man who was bothering my sleep 7 years before and instead of being just deterred from bothering my sleep he dove deeply into the waters of the tinfoil hat.

I place all the UFO crap in that category.

Probably, provided an "audio return" to his neighbor, who misinterpreted the 'message' - which induced an audio hallucination into the "tin hat's head".... and he convinced him self -"I was visited by an unknown force / entity.... 'only a visitor from another world' could do that".... POP, another crazy is birthed !
