20 French generals, 100 senior officers and 1,000 active duty soldiers have signed an open letter to Macron and his defense minister warning of civil war and chaos unless the government defends the nation and cracks down on Muslim separatism and "critical race theory" radicalism.

L’heure est grave, la France est en péril, plusieurs dangers mortels la menacent. Nous qui, même à la retraite, restons des soldats de France, ne pouvons, dans les circonstances actuelles, demeurer indifférents au sort de notre beau pays.

The time is dire; France is in peril; mortal dangers threaten. Those of us who -- even in retirement -- remain Soldiers of France cannot in the present circumstance stand sit idle as our great nation recedes.

#11 Thank you for providing the full text (double thanks for the addition of the translation!) of the letter. We had the report about it the other day, and then that some of the military signators have been fired, but the full text matters — they are brave children of France, who consciously put their duty to their countrymen before their own comfort — heroes all!
