#7 Actually the 1991 "perfect storm" Halloween storm dropped several inches more. 2 feet in some places. In fact 1991 we had a foot of snow on the ground at 9pm. It was beautiful.

I just came in from shoveling. We got about 6 inches of wet and heavy snow. A friend south of me got 8. Right now it's about 34 degrees by our lake so it's like moving piles of snow cone slush.

#8 Why is this not available to me?

Twitter seems a bit squirrelly the last few days. Hitting browser refresh seems to work better than the Twitter Try Again link.

#10 Ah, record for October, not a record-record, which 8" seems manageable for native Minnesotans.

#13 Yeah Woodrow, that kind of snow is a real treat. Almost have to do it by hand as our 2-stage snow blower clogs a LOT in those conditions.

I have an aluminum grain shovel that works pretty good for the really sloppy & heavy bits.
