#1 According to the comments on this article, the claim that Las Vegas is a ghost town is false

#2 Also, Vegas is a boom and bust town. More than any other city in the union, it will come back when the economy is back. It doesn't rely on anything except tourism dollars.

#3 I remember reading a year or two ago that tourism was already slowing down in Vegas. Hotels/Resorts are really starting to nickel & dime people with "fees".

Let Vegas sink their own ship due to their greed. Maybe that's why they need pro sports as their traditional attractions are not what they once we're.

#4 Clem, just in time for pro-sports to dry up.

Could be a while.

#5 I actually had read that Vegas had suffered horribly during the Recession and burned pretty brightly during the 2015-2019 years. But yeah, a lot of resorts are working pretty hard to nickel and dime people. And their structure of fees and ever worsening service, even for VIPS, makes them a pretty bad proposition.

#6 Actually, high-end retailers (which are going bankrupt at record rates), are also doing the same. Increasing expenses, awful service, minimum wage serfs replacing competent sales people, etc. Somehow, a minimum wager can't provide the same service as a professionally paid employee. And the lost business is never quite made up by the drop in wages paid.

#9 Maybe more so, the Las Vegas Knights.
