#3 I had to brief incoming officers on the PI when I worked at the embassy. So they could brief their troops. Its always a bit awkward, The ladyboy community has infiltrated the regular bars, so its a bit different than the old days. I gave them clues to tell if they are men, for example if they are wearing nylons, walk away. If they have a little peach fuzz on their lips, they are probably women, as the men have to shave. And lastly, if she is stunning, she is probably a man. Yhe stories are crazy, unbelievable but true. Every year at the annual Balikataan training event there are troops that end up beating a ladyboy up badly in the hotel. As P2K puts it, murder is murder and while the PI president will let him leave the PI, I'm sure the Marine Corp will not see it so gracefully.

#5 Duterte's not making an issue because his administration doesn't give a cr*p about some people and he thinks this is an easy way to earn points with the United States. Not sure that's the case. Especially with him trying to push the US on other, more important issues.
