#4 Mr, Wife says Big Bag is a technical term, also known as a Super Sack. They are sewn polypropylene or canvas containers for powders, the base 1 square meter, 1-1.5 meters high. They are normally stored two to three layers high, in fancier warehouses on racks but otherwise just stacked neatly and tightly together.

He says the pictures from Beirut show material stored exactly that way in Big Bags.

But there are rules about how to store explosive materials in bulk — amount per storage space, ventilation, and so forth, in order to prevent it exploding. It has nothing to do with the container itself, which are not intended to prevent such things. The photos in the tweet look like a stock photo to him.

#5 But there are rules about how to store explosive materials in bulk

...but, but rules are oppressive and racist! Ignore the MAN! (so do I need to put a /sarc on that?)

#6 Thank you T.W. I wondered about this.

Does ammonium nitrate require fuel oil/diesel fuel to be an explosive?

Or can ammonium nitrate be detonated with a detonator?

What I getting at, is this: Does this amount of ammonium nitrate pose an explosion hazard without the fuel oil if it has a sufficient detonator?
