#1 Our government should put all Russian and Chinese IP addresses into a firewall that prevents them from accessing computers in the United States. This action would curtail all internet traffic, legitimate and otherwise, between our country and theirs. Then tell them they will be banned until they learn to behave like civilized human beings. One thing the Russians could do to avoid this action would be to arrest and extradite hackers for prosecution for crimes like this.

#5 Hackers really aren't the problem. We don't care about security or privacy. This is the result. It's as if no one bothered to lock their front door, and we keep complaining about burglars.

#6 ^ There is that way of looking at it. Garmin will suffer from customers getting the impression that their security is lax. But then, there is also the solution that P2k advocates.
