#2 Too true. India's leadership is nothing if not foolish and corrupt. But on the other hand, they are still an actual democracy, and they have to be worried that if they don't do anything to make life painful for China, their days will be numbered. Especially after a direct attack on their borders.

#3 India has been leaning towards the US more and more during Republican Administrations. It's a natural alliance for both if they consider China a possible threat.

India's main problem is half their individual states are Communist and the rest are corrupt so their internal economy is gonna be crippled until they figure that out.

#4 one reason China might feel free to kill Indian soldiers — but not Japanese or Taiwanese troops — is that Japan and Taiwan are sheltering under a U.S. security umbrella.

It's because they don't share a border with China, genius.

The last thing the US needs is more worthless, needy allies. We don't get any gratitude, just gimme gimme gimme followed by abuse for having a military. It's the no-win situation. The only winning move is not to play.
