#5 As hand sanitizers are biocides wouldn't they cause a noticeable and painful skin inflammation if there was any significant absorption beyond the layer of dead cells, especially if used regularly?

#6 Now people, methanol (wood alcohol) is dangerous because - if you drink it, the enzymes that normally handle ethanol would turn it into formaldehyde.
