I can relate. I have Rover and MB 63 SUV neighbors not far from me who have resisted the paving of a mile long residential lane between two villages for decades.

#3 Carrying water for the Chinese. The road is strategic and allows the Indian army to resupply forward positions on the LAC. Very close to the Chinese national highway as well.
